'Kicking someone in the head is a criminal act and should be treated as such. The fists of a professional boxer are considered a lethal weapon, so should be the boots of a thug.' Louise Burfitt-Dons

Keep your Own Mind, It’s Cool to be Kind, is the theme of this year's Cool to be Kind Day to be held on 19th November 2008.

This year we are focussing on an anti-peer pressure message to promote individuality, independence and respect for others.

Group thinking can achieve great results but it also responsible for much of the bullying and hurt that is caused to children at school..

‘If I am going to sing like everyone else, then I do not need to sing at all,’ said Billie Holiday, American Jazz Singer of the 30s.

Act Against Bullying would like to encourage all its supporters this Cool to be Kind Day to stand up against negative peer pressure. Ask yourself, if this is something I am not personally comfortable with, then why am I doing it?

To join in with this campaign, download posters and free school resources . Many thanks for your support.
