Anti-bullying expert Louise Burfitt-Dons
is amongst speakers at the Tackling School Bullying Conference at the
Bonnington Hotel to be held in central London on Wednesday 27th February
.
Louise Burfitt-Dons is the founder
director of the UK organisation Act Against Bullying which was established
to help children who are bullied at school. The charity campaigns to
raise awareness of all forms of bullying but in particular those caused
by group attitudes, such as cyberbullying and deliberate isolation.
Louise said, ‘I believe
that by tackling school bullying we can begin to address more serious
crime. It is a part and parcel of the same culture.’
Other speakers include Robert
Beattie, the Department for Children, Schools and Families' national
lead on anti-bullying, child forensic psychologist Melanie Gill, Detective
Chief Inspector Stewart McKenzie from the Major Crime Investigations
of the South Wales Police, Anita Compton and Dawn Jennifer from the
Anti-Bullying Alliance and Head teacher Anita Wright. The conference
will be chaired by Uk stalking expert Hamish Brown MBE
